Life is Beautiful

Life is Beautiful

See how the sunlight shines
See how the darkness is dressed in velvet
See how the animals are joyful
Even in their pain
There is an underlying joy
At their continuous celebration of life
Watch as nature does not resist death
In nature there is no fear
And this is the seat of her harmony
Chaos abounds
But all of it is known to be ‘as it should be’
Death is but a transition of life
And life is beauty in all her forms
And when I feel like this
It’s like I could touch the air
And know it’s ecstatic beauty
And it’s own knowledge of this
Could that be what keeps it afloat?
The constant breath of,
“everything is as it should be”
War is resistance to our heart’s brokenness
But if we never saw it as broken
But simply said,
“This pain tells me what I need to know, that’s why it’s here”
Would it simply be?
It would simply be whole
Like the animals
And the joy of their hearts
Like nature
And the peace of her song
And in the quiet illusion of life
I see myself still
